Bristol Barbarians Rugby Football Club was formed in 1998 and is based at Norton Lane, Whitchurch Village.
The 1st team play in Somerset Division One and the 2nd team in a local merit table league. Training is on Wednesday nights from 7.15pm-9pm with games every Saturday from September through until the end of April. New (and old) players are always welcome and social memberships are also available for those just wishing to support their local team.
The grounds are also used by numerous football teams both adult and junior include Teyfant Athletic, Sartan Club, Ashton Boys, Brislington Juniors and Wessex Wanderers. The clubhouse is available for hire and upcoming events are shown on our website.

About
The Club was founded in January 1987 to provide indoor short mat bowling for people who would like the opportunity to enjoy social or league bowling. No experience is needed and the Club has bowls which can be used and tuition will be provided.
Membership
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 16 or in the case of young people under 16 they have to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Club membership follows a trial period in the Club and subsequent approval by the Management Committee.
Potential New Members are welcome to visit the Club on any of the sessions to see what Short Mat Bowling involves.

Membership entitles you to attend Club bowling sessions on
Tuesdays – 2.30p.m to 4.30p.m.
Fridays – 2.30p.m. to 4.30p.m. and 7.30p.m. to 9.30p.m.
Subscriptions
The quarterly membership subscription is currently £32.50
We pride our Club as being friendly and our bowling sessions provide a chance to meet people socially and is open to the whole family.

Whitchurch Cricket Club was formed in 1923 and the Club has played in various fields around the parish until 1978 when it moved to it's current location in Norton Lane next to the Parish Field & Play Ground.
WCC was one of the forming clubs of the North Somerset Cricket League and currently runs 4 senior sides on a Saturday, a Sunday XI and 6 youth teams.
Our Sunday XI are current champions of Division 1 in the NSCL Sunday Conference.
Our 1st & 2nd XI’s play in the Bristol & District League and our 3rd & 4th XI’s play in the North Somerset League.
The Club has a membership of over 125 people who mostly come from the village and surrounding area.
We are proud to run a thriving youth section which plays in the Bristol Youth Cricket Leagues with ECB level II qualified coaches running training session twice weekly. Youth Section training sessions are run
every week (weather permitting) U15's and 17's train on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. Under 9's Kwik Cricket, U11's and U13's train on Friday evenings from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
